Instructor verification
Instructors will be reviewed and verified before they can teach live. Verification will cover expertise, identity and agreement to safeguarding requirements.
Safeguarding
Nonofo Academy is building safeguarding into the platform from the start, so learners, instructors and families can trust how learning takes place.
Our safeguarding approach
These principles will govern instructor approval, live sessions and communication as those features are released.
Instructors will be reviewed and verified before they can teach live. Verification will cover expertise, identity and agreement to safeguarding requirements.
Learning spaces are intended to be respectful and free from harassment, discrimination and exploitation. Accounts that breach these expectations may be suspended.
Clear reporting routes will be provided so learners can raise a concern about a session, a message or another user. Reports will be reviewed by the Nonofo Academy team.
Communication between learners and instructors is intended to stay within Nonofo Academy channels, so conduct can be reviewed and support can be provided where needed.
Live sessions must remain professional and focused on learning. Requests for personal payment, private contact details or off-platform arrangements are not permitted.
Where a learner is a minor, additional protections will apply, including parental or guardian consent expectations and restrictions on private communication.
Sessions will only be recorded where participants have been informed and consent has been obtained. Recordings will be handled under private, access-controlled storage.
This page describes the safeguarding approach Nonofo Academy is building. Reporting tools, verification workflows and live-session controls will be introduced alongside the features they protect.
