Terms of Use

1. Who we are

Nonofo Academy is a learning, skills and opportunity platform operated by Nonofo Technologies Limited (RC 9905828), a company registered in Nigeria ("Nonofo", "we", "us"). Registered office: No. 25, Aseyinku Area, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. These Terms apply to everyone who visits or uses nonofo.com, including learners, tutors, instructors, course creators, affiliates and administrators.

2. Accepting these Terms

You must accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy to create an account. When we make a material change we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue using signed-in features. We never use pre-ticked boxes for acceptance.

3. Age

Nonofo Academy is for people aged 18 and over. When you create an account you confirm that you are 18 or over. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will suspend or remove it.

4. Nature of the platform

Nonofo Academy provides non-formal learning. It is not a university, degree-awarding body, licensing body or government-accredited institution. Certificates of Completion confirm completion of a Nonofo Academy learning programme; they are not degrees, professional licences or government qualifications. Nonofo does not guarantee employment, income or business results.

5. A global platform

Nonofo Academy serves learners and tutors in many countries. Prices may be shown in naira or US dollars, depending on where you are.

6. Job listings

Job listings come from third-party sources. Nonofo does not guarantee any listing, employer or outcome. You apply on the employer's own site. Nonofo and genuine employers never ask job seekers to pay a fee. If a listing looks suspicious, please report it.

7. Courses by tutors

Where a course is created and sold by a tutor, the tutor is the seller of that course and is responsible for its quality, accuracy and delivery. Nonofo provides the platform, checks tutors, reviews courses before they are published, and facilitates payment. Courses created by tutors are reviewed for quality, accuracy, compliance with our policies, video length and price before they are published.

8. Your account

• You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• One person, one account. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your account.
• Do not create additional accounts to get around a restriction, suspension or limit.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at support@nonofo.com if you think it has been accessed without permission.

9. Access to courses

Protected lessons, videos, resources, prompts, rubrics and feedback are available only to signed-in users with valid access. Lesson videos are streamed and cannot be downloaded. Some materials, such as templates or worksheets, may be downloadable where Nonofo or the tutor allows it. You must not copy, record, share or resell paid content. Access may end if an enrolment ends, is refunded, or an account is suspended or removed.

10. Payments

• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paystack. Nonofo does not see or store your card details.
• Nonofo has no wallet, store credit or stored balance. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
• Refunds, cancellations and chargebacks are covered by the Payments, Refunds, Cancellations and Chargebacks Policy.
• Tutor earnings and payouts, affiliate commission and referral rewards are covered by their own terms when those programmes are available.

11. Taxes

Tutors and affiliates are responsible for their own income tax, VAT and other taxes on their earnings. Where Nonofo charges a platform fee or commission, Nonofo will issue an invoice for it, with VAT where applicable.

12. Other policies

These Terms include the other policies in the Nonofo Academy Policy Centre, including the Payments, Refunds, Cancellations and Chargebacks Policy, the Instructor Policy, and the Acceptable Use, Course Content and Intellectual Property, Secure Upload, Communication, Conduct, Live Learning, Portfolio and Certificate Sharing, Safeguarding, Copyright, Suspension and Appeals, Moderation, AI Use and Accessibility policies.

13. Enforcement

We may warn, restrict, suspend or remove accounts and content that break our policies, as described in the Account Suspension, Removal and Appeals Policy. Serious actions require an administrator's recorded reason and can be appealed.

14. Availability and changes

We work to keep the platform available and secure but cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may change or withdraw features. We will publish a new version of these Terms, with its effective date and a summary of changes, before material changes take effect.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law: our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount Nonofo earned from the transaction that gave rise to the claim; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

16. Disputes

If you have a complaint, please contact support@nonofo.com first and allow us 14 days to resolve it. If it is still unresolved, the dispute will go to mediation in Ibadan, Oyo State, under the rules of the Oyo State Multi-Door Courthouse, before any court action. This does not remove any right you have under the consumer law of your country.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, unless the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be excluded.
